Narino is located
near Colombia's Pacific coast and the Equadoran border. This is
not an estate coffee, rather selected small farms are elected to
participate in a co-op. These beans are grown at high altitudes
and are 17-18 screen in size.
Cupping Notes: Floral,
roasted almonds, cinnamon, oak, dark plum, butterscotch. Balanced
acidity (not overpowering) and medium body.
Roasting
Notes: Holds up well to a darker roast. A medium-light
roast preserves the intensity of the aroma. Be careful about adding
too much heat to soon. In a home roasting unit where heat manipulation
is not possible, just make sure the roast batch size is not too
small to start with. |
