Brazil Decaf - Mountain Water Process

This coffee creates a paradox of mellow, yet invigorating tasting cup of coffee. No solvents or chemicals were used during the decaffeination process.

Keep in mind, decaffeinated green coffee has a much shorter shelf life than caffeinated green coffee beans. Try and use them within three months of ordering them. They'll last longer, of course, but the flavor will tend to fade and in dryer climates, the moisture content of the bean will diminish significantly faster than caffeinated beans. This is because the cell wall of the decaf beans have bean stressed quite a bit during the decaf-process and are somewhat porous.

Cupping Notes: pine nuts and roasted almonds. Mellow with pleasant aftertaste. Nice for a single-origin decaf espresso because of very muted acidity.

Roasting Notes: As with most decafeinated coffees, roast time will be about 80% of that of their caffeinated cousins. We recommend stopping the roast just before 2nd crack or oils will rapidly appear on the exterior of the beans.

Note: these are unroasted green coffee beans
