The name Tikal reminds of the rustic ruins of the Maya civilization while providing the wonderful flavors that come from the rich Guatemalan soil. The exporter has gathered a blend of very prestigious coffee regions such as Huehuetenango, Antigua, Atitlan and others resulting in a very delicious and flavorful coffee offering. In addition to drip or pressed brewing methods, this coffee works well as an excellent single origin espresso or it can be used as a component in an espresso blend - just make sure the other blend components are up to snuff!.

Cupping and Roasting Notes:

Somewhat muted acidity for a Guatemalan, yet still vibrant. Honey-like and Lemon at a City roast level with Black Currants and hints of Pipe Tobacco becoming more prominent at a Full City roast level. Very Clean Cup with a pleasant sweet, lingering aftertaste.
