Located in the Huehuetengango region, Finca
Huixoc (pronounced "WE-hok")is an estate farm that is
nearly 100 years old. Bright and smooth in the cup with spicy
and fruity notes that balance each other quite well. In our search
for the perfectly sweet and balanced Guatemalan coffee we cupped
from all over this region, eventually striking gold (pun intended).
In the small town of La Democracia, the Finca Huixoc Estate has
taken advantage of rich mountain soil and plentiful rainfall to
produce what we think is an one of the most elegant and exciting
shade grown Guatemalan coffees available. This coffee is gown
at a very high altitude, is SHB (Strictly Hard Bean), and is certified
by the Rainforest Alliance for the progressive social and ecological
practices used in its production. Hand sorted, wet processed and
sun dried, you'll find a clear and fruity cup that is very unique. |
