Kona Hualalai Estate
Located 1,700 ft above the Pacific Ocean on the slopes of Mt. Hualalai
near Kailua-Kona, this specialty -grade coffee is hand-picked, sun-dried,
and pesticide free. Grown on a relatively new family owned farm known
as Kona Pride, the quality of cup the beans produce is testament to the
meticulous care given both the trees and the processing of the beans.
This particular Kona has a very clean taste, and is of mild body typical
of Konas. It is quite bright with a unique sweetness and slight vanilla
tones when roasted to between city and full city (light to medium roast).
To dark-roast these beans would be a crime, so pay close attention while
roasting!
