Located in the Highlands of Boquete, at
an altitude of 5,500 feet on the foothills of the Baru Volcano with
its deep rich volcanic soil, this beautiful and traditional coffee
estate offers optimum conditions for growing premium mountain coffee.
The ample rainfall and sunny, dry harvesting season promotes ideal
production of this Arabica coffee.
Coffees coming out of Panama from the higher
elevations, such as Lerida Estate, continue to be what we think
is the best bang for the buck. Read more about Finca
Lerida here.
Cupping notes:: medium intense
dry aroma, intense on the break (breaking the crust). Vibrant, very
clean cup, coffee blossom, apricot, extra virgin malt. Long, sweet
aftertaste with honey sweetness emerging as the cup cools.
Roasting Notes: This coffee
excels when the roast is stopped before 2nd crack to bring out unique
citrusy qualities and pine nuts. As the roast progresses just into
2nd crack (for those that prefer darker roasts), maltiness flavors
become apparent with full body development at Full City. |
