Sumatra Mandheling Grade 1 OrganicFrom the Manggala co-op which consists of 1100 members, all small farmers, from the Bandar, Permata, Bukit and Bener Meriah areas in small villages in and around the city of Pondok Baru. Coffee farms range from 10 to 20 years old and are 1100-1400 meters above sea level. Along with typical syrupy body that are typical of Sumatrans, there are distinct hints of cherry in this cup when roasted relatively light (city+). Roasted darker and forest-floor notes become more pronounced, especially as the cup cools. This is a solid, traditional type of Sumatran with the earthiness and rustic flavors Indonesian coffees are known for. Roasting Notes: Note: these are unroasted green coffee beans |
